I never thought I would day this...

but I am bored and I kind of want to go back to work. haha! I enjoyed the Monday off but I rushed so hard this weekend so make sure things were done- so now Im left with not alot to do. I thought about painting our Master bedroom but with all the moisture I think Im going to wait. I am also so thankful for email. I was so worried about class and the project because its saved on my school laptop which is locked up in my classroom. Thankfully we are rescheduled to next week! Well off to find more stuff to do.

Why we do our jobs

This morning I was talking to a co-worker of mine who is also working on her Masters Degree. She had to read an article for class to reflect on for an assignment and we were chatting about it this morning. This article mentioned various things like when teachers tell stories to one another about students its to get ideas and help one another. We were talking about how much that is true.

The main quote from this article is the one that made me want to blog about this was that one little boy told his teacher "Its nice how teachers care about jackets and lunch money and things like that and Mommies don't" We were both standing there about to cry it hit us so hard. We don't realize how much we impact the lives of the children until we hear something like that. It really touches your heart. I know sometimes we are tired and the job can be stressful but when you hear words like that it makes us realize how important our words are to the kids.

A Tired Day

Why does a LONG weekend never seem so Long? Getting up today was so tiring after this weekend. I did enjoy my first married labor day weekend though!

I also did make a breakthrough in the world of online communication and ventured to twitter.com. I was a bit confused but it is extremely interesting. Don't think I'll be "tweeting" but its cool for famous people and all.

I am very proud how my class is developing (on a side note). Its really turning into a great year and Im really liking how much more comfortable I feel this year, Not running around like crazy trying to figure out what I am doing. So all you first grade teachers don't fret because it gets so much better your 2nd year.

Goodbye August.

I cannot believe August is over. WOW. Time is really flying by. I was shopping at Hobby Lobby yesterday and it was filled with Christmas decorations! My Mom and I were talking about how it will be here before we even know it.

As time goes on I am getting into the rhythm of school and it feels good now to be in a good routine. The kids are getting into the swing of it and now all the learning can begin!

On a personal note we are settling nicely into our house and making it our own. We are slowly painting, decorating, doing new things etc. It is amazing how much life changes once you own a home. Instead of shopping for clothes, im looking for couches. It is fun though. We are enjoying being newlyweds!

Oh and the best part is I'm going to Taylor Swift on Thursday!!!! :)
